An invitation from St. Agatha Music Teacher, Sarah Faux:

Dear St. Agatha Families,

As another spring approaches, I am excited to share with you a project I would like to undertake this year: the repair of our xylophones and the purchase of additional Orff instruments for the classroom. Currently, students rotate when practicing on these instruments during class. My goal is for each student to have their own instrument to play with throughout the entire class.

These instruments are quite expensive. A xylophone costs $585, and a glockenspiel costs $285. My goal is to raise just over $4,000 to purchase 10 more glockenspiels, 2 more xylophones, and to buy replacement keys for some of our damaged xylophones.

On May 3rd we will be holding our fundraising event in the church, which will feature performances by our students and musicians from our parish, with a range of music from chant to modern compositions.
