Mr. Christopher Hatefi has been in education for ten years and this is his first year at St. Agatha. He is the 7th-grade homeroom teacher. He also teaches 8th-grade Religion and middle school language arts classes. He enjoys teaching at St. Agatha because everyone is welcoming and the children are great.Mr. Hatefi is a Catholic convert and was confirmed by Archbishop Sample in 2016. He is a native Oregonian who has also taught overseas and for the Diocese of Dallas.
In middle school ELA, students have enjoyed several novel studies this year including Number the Stars, Esperanza Rising, and The Tempest. For All Saints Day, each 8th grader researched and dressed as a saint for Mass and made a presentation to share with their classmates.
Mr. Hatefi's favorite Bible verse is Matthew 25:40- "And the king will say to them in reply, 'Amen I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.'"
