Ms. Harris has been in education for 30 years. She taught preschool for eight years and has taught first grade here at St. Agatha for 22 years.
Ms. Harris enjoys the inclusive community at St. Agatha and the freedom to evaluate the needs of her students each year and to be able to present the required standards in a way that will allow her students to learn in a way that is tailored to fit their individual needs.
First graders are always working on many things. They do a lot of reading and writing! In life science, they planted and observed mystery seeds and maple tree seeds. First grade also works all year to collect cans to assist their favorite dog shelter, Family Dogs New Life. Thousands of cans have resulted in thousands of dollars being donated to help save the lives of hundreds of deserving dogs waiting for loving homes!
