Mrs. Omo has been in education for 32 years and this is her 11th year at St. Agatha. She loves St. Agatha for so many reasons, but she especially loves the supportive community of parents and teachers. Parents are engaged in their children's learning and offer assistance and materials readily when asked. Parents show appreciation and kindness and they truly partner in their children's education. She has made lifelong friends with staff both past and present and treasures their capacity and willingness to work as a team to help all students achieve.
Mrs. Omo loves geography and studying cultures from around the world. In third grade. students pretend to travel to countries five times each year, immersing themselves in the culture and traditions of that country. These "trips" around the world make lasting memories and ignite a desire to see the world. Third grade is an important year of transition from learning to read to reading to learn; and from learning to write to writing to communicate. Mrs. Omo loves to help students build these important foundational skills that will expand their knowledge and increase their confidence.
Mrs. Omo's favorite Bible verse is from Matthew 7:7- "Ask and it shall be given to you, knock and the door will be opened to you."
